This week’s photography challenge is a small diverse – we’re not telling you what to photograph, but we’re difficult you to light your shot with some variety of lighting gear that is not created for photographic lighting.
Your challenge is to take and share an image that does use some type of artificial lighting – but it can’t be a flash, studio light and so on.
We want to see what you can do with a lamp, or a torch, or an LED, or a candle, or the light from an iPad, the light from your refrigerator, the light from a TV…. you get the picture?
As soon as you have taken your ‘DIY Lighting’ Images – select your greatest 1-2, upload them to your favourite photo sharing internet site and either share a link to them or – embed them in the comments using the our new tool to do so.
If you tag your photographs on Flickr, Instagram, Twitter or other sites with Tagging tag them as #DPSDIYLIGHT to aid other people discover them. Linking back to this page may also assist other folks know what you are undertaking so that they can share in the enjoyable.
Note: whilst we do not mind you posting previous photos that you’ve taken that match this subject – the true point of these ‘challenges’ is to inspire you to go out and take NEW images. So probably as a substitute of just trawling by means of your old images to uncover one that fits – grab that camera and go use it also!
